Dr. Kia Mitchell is a Jacksonville native and a dedicated, double board-certified physician specializing in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Known for her commitment to holistic health and wellness, she is the medical director of Families First Medical Group, Limitless Me Wellness and Bold City Physical Therapy as well as an international speaker for a laser company. 

Dr. Mitchell’s journey to medicine began as an honors graduate from Episcopal High School.  She continued her studies at Spelman College in Atlanta, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Pre-Med with Magna Cum Laude honors. Dr. Mitchell pursued her passion for medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine and eventually returned to Jacksonville to complete her residency and establish her career. In fact, she was named Top Doctor by Florida Magazine for 2023 and 2024 for her compassion and quality care. 

A pillar in the Jacksonville community, Dr. Mitchell is actively involved in numerous organizations, including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Jacksonville Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. She also serves the community through her service on the Boards of Changing Homelessness, Inc and Episcopal School of Jacksonville Alumni Board and volunteering with 904Forward, Mandarin High School S.A.C. and several other community organizations. She has such a love of this community and its growth! She even completed the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Citizen Academy and The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce’s JAX Bridges Program furthering her connection with the city and local services.

Outside of her medical career and community involvement, Dr. Mitchell is a devoted wife and mother to her four children: Tre’, Jace, Paija, and Uriah. She loves supporting local sports, attending concerts, cooking, crafting, and traveling with her family.

Through her community involvement, clinical expertise, and compassionate care, Dr. Mitchell exemplifies leadership in both her medical practice and the Jacksonville community.
