Janette Allen brings over 30 years of rich experience in fundraising, education, healthcare, and the arts to this year's "River City Dancing with the Stars" event, benefiting the Jacksonville Children's Chorus. Her career started at the Art Institute of Chicago and has been defined by her deep commitment to philanthropy and community engagement— values that resonate profoundly with the spirit of this competition.
Currently serving as Vice President & Advancement Consultant at Galloway Gonzalez Consulting, Janette uses her expertise in fundraising strategy and community outreach to deliver impactful results. She has played a pivotal role in leading fundraising and philanthropic initiatives that significantly enhance community engagement. Her strategic efforts at the University of North Florida, the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville, the Cathedral Arts Project, and Flagler College has been essential in developing fundraising programs that deepen community involvement and bolster support for the arts.
Janette honed her business skills and appreciation for art at Livingston University (now University of West Alabama), where she earned a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Fine Art/Art History. This background has been essential in blending creative solutions with effective fundraising strategies throughout her career. A Ponte Vedra Beach resident for 26 years, Janette's connection to her community is deeply rooted.
Although Janette is new to dancing, her eagerness to take on new challenges will shine through on the dance floor. Her hobbies, as diverse as her career, include painting, paddle boarding, yoga, and traveling. A true foodie, Janette loves exploring new culinary experiences, and her writing often delves into her interests in the spiritual and metaphysical realms.
Outside of her professional and philanthropic pursuits, Janette treasures spending time with her husband, four adult children, and two dogs, cherishing life’s simple joys together.
