Cheryl Riddick

Director-Customer Experience, Jacksonville Transportation Authority

Cheryl Amos Riddick serves as Director-Customer Experience for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.  She leads a 34-member team consisting of Community Outreach, Customer Service, Travel Training and Customer Relations.

Cheryl has served in management/leadership roles at the JTA since Spring 2014, with responsibilities that also included Customer Revenue, Marketing, Communications and Multimedia.

Mrs. Riddick has 44 years of experience with top-ranked Fortune 100 corporations and local nonprofit and public sectors. Among other positions prior to the JTA, she was Vice President of Grantmaking Services at The Community Foundation in Jacksonville.  Cheryl spent 14 years in public relations for AT&T Universal Card Services/CitiCards as Program Manager Public Affairs, Director Baldrige Profile Program/Speechwriter for the Office of the President, and Assistant Vice President Community Relations, Site Communications, Recognition and Reward.  She spent nine years in college textbook publishing as Editorial Assistant, Assistant to the Editor in Chief, and National Exhibits Manager for McGraw-Hill in New York City before moving to Jacksonville.  A graduate of Leadership Jacksonville and Leadership Florida, Cheryl has served on numerous Boards including The Ritz Theatre & Museum, The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, The Cummer Museum, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and the JaxChamber Foundation. She served two years as co-chair of the Girl Scouts Women of Distinction luncheon. During her early years in Jacksonville, Cheryl was a graduate of Project Blueprint, later serving on Boards for TheatreWorks, MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation and the Duval Public Education Fund/Alliance for WorldClass Education.

Mrs. Riddick’s honors and awards include the American Public Transportation Association 2018 Emerging Leaders Program, Outstanding Service Award from Ritz Theatre & Museum, President’s Volunteer Service Award issued by Office of the President of the United States, Florida Governor’s Business Leadership Award on behalf of CitiCards, Girl Scouts Women of Distinction Honoree-World of the Arts, YWCA Celebration of Leadership Honoree and JM Family Enterprises African American Achiever in the Arts.

Cheryl earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.

Mrs. Riddick has been married to her college sweetheart, Raymond, for 42 years, and is the proud “Dance Mom” to Libby Riddick in NYC.  She serves on the Deacon Board and sings in the Mass Choir at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, USA, Jacksonville.  She was a RCDWTS contestant in 2014.
