Darin Roark, BSN, MBA, RN, FACHE, Hospital President, Baptist Medical Center Clay.  Mr. Roark joined Baptist Health in 2012 as assistant administrator overseeing all emergency centers in the health system. Roark has served as administrator of the Baptist Clay Medical Campus since October 2013. He has overseen tremendous growth since arriving at Baptist Health, leading the emergency department service line through a rise in annual visits from 242,000 to more than 300,000, while overseeing the addition of three new satellite ERs. He resides in Fleming Island and serves as the Baptist Health liaison in Clay County.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Roark was director of Emergency Services at Orange Park Medical Center. Previously, he held leadership and nursing positions at hospitals in Illinois and Wisconsin. He began his career in business, expanded his education and moved into health care, earning his Bachelor of Science in nursing from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Roark later earned his master’s degree in business administration from Northern Illinois University.

Roark has long been involved in researching best practices, centered on how advances in data and technology can impact patient safety. His research has been published in the Journal of Emergency Nursing, The American Journal of Nursing and Nursing Management. Roark is active in the Northeast Florida Community and has served on the Board of Directors for Gateway, a not-for-profit substance abuse treatment center in Jacksonville, and Penney Retirement Community in Clay County. He served as the Chairman of the Board of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce for its 2020 term and is on the Board of Supervisors for the Clay County Utility Authority.
